Aon | Risk Analysis

In partnership with Aon

About This Project

Semester Project

Aon is a leading company in risk management, insurances, reinsurances and consulting concerning employee benefits. The group is active in 120 countries and employs 60 000 people.

Aon wants to analyse the situation of Belgian SME’s concerning protection against natural disasters and cyberattacks. For both parts of the risk analysis, you and your team will contact SME’s to complete a questionnaire about both cybersecurity and exposure to natural disasters. In order to draw a sufficiently reliable conclusion, a large sample size is needed, so this will be a great opportunity to put your sales skills to the test! The analysis of the questionnaires will be done using the NatCat and CyQu tools of Aon. These tools will provide overall data on the risk exposure to respectively natural disasters and cybersecurity of the companies. The output of the tools shall be compared to foreign benchmarks provided by Aon and implemented in the final conclusion. Ultimately, Aon wants to use the findings from this project to publicise an article that is eligible for the Belrim prize and that will be publicised in journals such as De Tijd, Trends and others. If the article is chosen as the winner for the Belrim prize, you and your team will be rewarded with a trip to Denmark to attend one of the world’s largest risk conferences!
